Reaching Out

Ephesians 2:8-10

Because of his kindness you have been saved through trusting Christ.  And even trusting is not of yourselves, it too is a gift from God.  Salvation is not a reward for the good we have done, so none of us can take any credit for it.  It is God himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus, and long ages ago he planned that we should spend these lies in helping others.

God sent us Jesus to wash away our sin, and when risen he saved us from death.  All we have to do is believe and trust in Jesus.  Ask him and he will tell you it has already be given.  How can something so simple be forgotten.

We live in a world that man says we must look, act, eat, walk a certain way.  We get lost in the struggle of man’s expectations.  But here is the Lord our Father.  All he wants for us is to be saved from this.  He wants us to be with him in his family.  Once we all walked in evil, and he gave us a way out.  We ignore it.

It is our job as Christians, to reach out and help others connect and know who God is so that they can be saved.  So they too, can be a part of his family.  So they can be healed and live abundantly.  Yet we also question this.  We spend our time going to church on Sunday’s…what about every other day of the week.

I challenge you all to read the word, experience God’s power in the word.  The never broken promise is written right there in the book he provided us.  Then, I challenge you to share that with those that do not know.  Help them climb out of that pit of despair and pain.  Rise and pick up their bed, walk away for they are healed.

If we have Jesus in us, we can do it.  We only have to remember these words, so readily available to us all.

God Bless You All
